Setting up account in email client (Plesk)

How to set up your email account in your phone and on tablet / computer devices.

 


 

Create Account in Microsoft Outlook

1. On the Outlook toolbar, click the File tab

2. Click Add Account

3. Select Manual setup or additional server types at the bottom of the Auto Account Setup box and click Next.

4. Select POP or IMAP and click Next.

5. Fill in the fields

IMAP stores the mail on the server, POP3 stores them on your computer.

Fill in the details...

-Enter your name and full e-mail address under User Information

-Select Account Type, usually IMAP

-For Incoming mail server, use mail.razorweb.co.nz

-For Outgoing mail server (SMTP), use mail.razorweb.co.nz

-Enter your full email as the username and Password as supplied

-Tick Remember Password

-Now click 'More Settings' as per the image

6. Click the Outgoing Server tab & configure

- Tick My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication

- Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server

7. Click the 'Advanced' tab...

- Use 993 for Incoming Server (IMAP) (With security set to SSL)

- Use 465 for Outgoing server (SMTP) (With security set to SSL)

If you need to use POP3, then use the following ports instead;

- Incoming: 995 (With security set to SSL)

- Outgoing: 465 (With security set to SSL)

Click 'ok' to close this window.
Then click 'next' to complete the setup.

Create Account in OS X Mail

1. Click the 'Mail' tab in the top menu bar. Then click 'Preferences'

2. Click the 'Accounts' tab, then push the + to add an account.

3. Select account provider as 'Other Mail Account'

4. Fill in your name, email and password.

Your 'name' should be what you want people to see when email is received.

I.e. a business should have their business name, a personal account should have their own name. For example: Joe Bloggs - for private email, or ACME Company - for a company email.

5. Fill in the fields

IMAP stores the mail on the server, POP3 stores them on your computer.

Enter the full email address as the username.

Enter the password supplied for the email.

Select IMAP or POP3, IMAP is preferable.

Enter the 'Incoming Mail Server' as mail.razorweb.co.nz.

Enter the 'Outgoing Mail Server' as mail.razorweb.co.nz.

Click Sign In

6. Select apps to sync

This step is optional, you can just proceed with mail only.

Create Account in Gmail for Android

1. Add an Account

Tap on the profile icon in the top right, then on 'Add another account' in the dialogue box that pops up.

2. Tap on 'Other'

3. Select 'IMAP'

4. Enter your email address

5. Enter the password you were given for your account

6. Enter the incoming server settings as shown

7. Enter the outgoing server settings as shown

8. Account Options

You can set these settings to whatever your preferences are, although we recommend leaving 'Sync email for this account' as checked, otherwise you will not recieve the emails.

9. Account Name

Enter the display name for your mail account. Please note this is what will show on sent messages.

Create Account in Outlook for Mobile

1. Add Account

Open Outlook on your mobile then open the settings.

Tap on 'ADD MAIL ACCOUNT', and then on 'Add an email account' in the pop-up.

2. Existing Accounts

This step may or may not appear for you.

Uncheck any discovered mail accounts, then tap 'SKIP' down the bottom right.

3. Enter your email address

Enter the email address for the account you are adding

4. Select 'IMAP'

5. Fill in the fields with the information required

If you do not see all the fields, make sure to toggle 'Advanced Settings' on down the bottom

Enter the details for you mail account.

- Display Name: this is what recipients of emails you send will see.

- Incoming Server: set this to mail.razorweb.co.nz:993

- Outgoing Server: set this to mail.razorweb.co.nz:465

- Use your email and the password you were given as the credantials for both incoming and outgoing

- Tap the "tick" icon in the top right and you are done!

Create Account in iOS (iPhone) Mail

1. On your home screen, open 'Settings'

2. Scroll down and select 'Passwords & Accounts'

This may be called 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' on older versions of iOS.

3. Select 'Add Account'

4. Select 'Other'

5. Select 'Add Mail Account'

6. Fill in the fields with the information required and tap 'Next'.

Name: Enter your name.

Email: The email address you are setting up the account for.

Password: The password provided to you by us.

Description: A description for this account of your choice.

7. Ensure IMAP is selected then fill in the fields. Tap 'Next'.

Enter the 'Incoming Mail Server' as mail.razorweb.co.nz. Use this same address for your outgoing server too.

Username: Enter the full email address.

Password: Enter the password supplied for the email.

8. Tap 'Save'

The screen will return to the Accounts screen where your new account should have appeared in the list.

Create Account in Google Mail Online (Gmail)

1. Log in into your Gmail

2. To your right, click the gear icon and click on 'Settings'

3. In the bar settings, click the 'Accounts & Import’

4. To the right where it says ‘Check mail from other accounts’, click ‘Add a mail account’

5. A little window will appear. In there, enter your full email address and select 'Next'

You will need to use this window till Step 8

6. You will only need to tick ‘POP3' then select ‘Next'

Usually you would choose IMAP; so, only tick POP3 if you want your email to be on one server.

7. Where it says username (like before), add in your full email address. Below this, enter your email password. Once done, select ‘Add Account’

Also, don’t forget to tick ‘Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server’.

There is other settings like the name of your mailbox you can set too.

8. On the step to confirming your account tick ‘Yes’ and select ‘Next'

Once you've done that; you can now close that window and open up your Gmail.

9. You’ll be sent an address confirmation email

From there... In your inbox, open the email and you'll be given instructions to click a link, click the link and you should be set. Though, if the link appears to be not working you’ll have to send them a code. Instructions further on how to do that will be in the email.

Once you've sorted all that out, you should be done!
