Hello everybody, episode eight.

Today we’re talking about getting people to enquire on your website. So once we’ve set it up, got the details on there, got some good photos. We need obviously a way of getting people to enquire.

Once they’ve read your story, seen what you’ve done, we need to add things like call to actions and phone numbers, forms and stuff like that so that people can get in touch.
It’s very important on any website that wants to generate leads, if you don’t tell people what to do next, unless they’re motivated to go and find or consider what the next best step is, so either call you or send you an email, you’ll likely gonna lose them.
What we’re gonna do, we’re gonna go through each page, and we’re going to add call to actions on each page.

Call to actions can range from phone numbers, buttons that go to contact forms, or even an add to cart or buy now option if you’re selling online.
So if you’re telling a story, the call to action buttons, or anything call to action related, should lead them to the next step.

If I visit a company that does social media marketing, and I want to get social media marketing done. I should land on their information landing page and it should tell me about them, about their services, maybe even a testimonial case study, then at the bottom it isn’t just going to end, it will have a call to action. So it would be something like “click here to get a quote”, or “phone us on blahblahblah”. It may even lead us to another page an option to read more about what they do, or some of their testimonials, then, on that page there may be a get a quote button.

We need to insert these in key important areas on the website. If you’re doing a Google Ads campaign (I’ve talked about this in a previous post) and you have a landing page or a funnel, that’s where we will have call to actions, so that we can have people to take up that offer and go further.

The call to actions need to be very easy to use and simple, phone number is self explanatory, it’s easy. People tap it on their phone or dial it and call you. A quote form should be very simple, keep it along the lines of name, email, phone and a message. It could even include a few extra fields like what service are you interested in, what is your budget. Personally I think you’re best to keep it very basic. The user rarely wants to fill in a big form, some details they may not be comfortable with sharing straight away. Just keep it basic and get their details, then you can properly follow up with them via the phone or email. That’s where you can tell them about what it is you do, and get further information. At the end of the day a person to speak to behind the phone, is a lot more effective as a sales tool than trying to work them through a website or series of web pages.

It’s slower and takes more time doing it this way, but I think it works a lot better, and you have a better conversion rate.

That’s the key to making a website work, consider that when you’re building it, implement call to actions, contact details, make it as easy for the user as possible to get in touch if they want to know more about what you do, or they want a quote. I still see too many websites that have nothing. There’s a website that I was on today and there was no phone number anywhere. No email address anywhere, no address anywhere. I knew where they were but they had no contact details on there. That’s totally different from having a clear call to actions really. There was no contact details. Make sure you include all of that, make sure the user can see it wherever they are on the website. Otherwise, you’re just wasting time.

That’s episode eight guys, hope you enjoyed it. obviously , if you need a hand or anything feel free to Facebook me or even flick me an email, I’ll be happy to help with any advice that you require.
